Leadership Fairfax is seeking participants for its Lifetime Leaders Program (LLP) beginning in September 2016. The Lifetime Leaders Program is designed for retiring or newly retired individuals based on the belief that they offer a wealth of experience, leadership and insight. They contribute knowledge and vitality to their communities, and Leadership Fairfax seeks to offer opportunities to stay engaged after retirement. The two month program connects 10 to 15 individuals and meets at various locations throughout Fairfax County. Applications accepted until July 31, 2016.

The program focuses on identifying the skills and experiences that are meaningful to each person, while looking outward to the Fairfax County community to discover opportunities for civic awareness, community action, and volunteer connections. Program participants will explore transition opportunities, identify personal motivators, clarify skills and preferences, develop self-awareness and network with leaders in the nonprofit, corporate and government sectors.

LLP is offered in partnership with Volunteer Fairfax, supported by the Positive Aging Coalition, George Mason University, Fairfax County Neighborhood and Community Services, and the Area Agency on Aging.

The program consists of six classes and has a tuition fee of $500, which includes lunch, course materials and programming costs. Learn more by calling (703) 752-7555 or visiting www.leadershipfairfax.org/LLP.

Leadership Fairfax hosts three programs that grow and connect leaders across diverse sectors to create a strong community, progress leaders in corporate, nonprofit and government, and enrich the lives of their alumni and partners. The organization inspires, develops, engages and connects leaders to impact issues facing Fairfax County and the region, and has graduated over 1600 alumni since 1987.
