Audience:

Caregivers of people with early-stage Alzheimer’s disease*

Overview:

In the early stage of Alzheimer’s disease, families face new questions as they adjust. What

does the diagnosis mean? What kinds of plans need to be made? What resources are

available to help? Join us for this 3-part series to hear practical answers to the questions that

arise in the early stage. Hear from those directly affected and learn what you can do to cope

with the changes that come with an early-stage diagnosis.

This program is designed to provide care partners with the knowledge, tools and strategies needed to cope with a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia.

Topics covered will include:

• Symptoms of the early stage of Alzheimer’s disease

• Accepting and adjusting to the diagnosis

• Legal, financial and resource planning that needs to be done in the early stage of the disease

• Components of a care team and ways to successfully work with each component

• Strategies to discuss issues, make decisions and plans, and cope with the new changes

* Our “Living with Alzheimer’s: For Caregivers” series offers workshops and topics based on each stage of the disease: early, middle and late. The presentations within the workshop series for each stage are sequential and should be taken in order. If you are not sure which program or stage is right for you, please call us 24/7 at 800.272.3900
