Situated in the pleasant and wooded community of Chevy Chase in the District of Columbia, the Forest Side campus is located near Rock Creek Park and less than a mile from our Forest Hills campus. Forest Side’s philosophy of care is based on a deep respect and admiration of our residents as they continue their personal life journey. We provide exceptional secure memory care and service with compassion and consideration of the unique qualities of each person who lives with us.

The Forest Side team’s focus is engagement with the residents in all aspects of their day—from delicious meals and snacks with new friends, to news and weather, exercise and wellness programs, music and studio arts activities, afternoon tea, and neighborhood strolls—all fostering a level of friendship, fun, and understanding of one another. Each of our four multi-purpose Great Rooms is equipped with a full kitchen, spacious dining areas with fireplaces and a comfortable living room. Screened and enclosed porches, a spa, and a walking garden add elements of graceful living to our community.

Our highly trained staff understands the challenges of memory loss (including Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia) and has great sensitivity and skill in offering reassurance and support for residents and their families. The most important part of each day is to encourage and understand each resident, helping them make every opportunity for connection and enjoyment as successful as possible.
