Loretta Downs, MA, CSA, is an internationally recognized uplifting and inspiring speaker who is passionate about improving the end-of-life experience. Her perspective on the sacred passage is informed by more than 35 years of being a companion to AIDS patients, friends, family, hospice, and hospital patients, nursing home residents, death doula clients, and the loved ones who support them. She has a Master’s Degree in Gerontology and is past-president of the Chicago End-of-Life Care Coalition.
Loretta is a Certified Senior Advisor, End-of-Life Care Practitioner, Advance Care Planning Facilitator and a Death Doula. She has published numerous articles, gives workshops, been quoted in articles and books, interviewed for podcasts, and is featured in a video about the importance of advance care planning.
