and is a trained Volunteer Long Term Care Ombudsman. Jacke is an elder abuse consultant and the Director of Elder Abuse Awareness at CHANA, an abuse and trauma response agency of The Associated Jewish Federation of Baltimore. Jacke is also the Project Coordinator of a systems change grant to End Abuse in Later Life from the Department of Justice, Office on Violence Against Women. She educates lay people, professionals and faith leaders about elder abuse prevention and intervention throughout the Greater Baltimore area, across Maryland, and nationally. Since caring for her parents into their end of life, Jacke is devoted to the support, empowerment and advocacy for the respect and protection of older adults. Her focus is on healthy relationships, coordinated and collaborative elder abuse response, including the sheltering of older adult victims, and elder justice. Jacke is a published Heal My Voice author and an ordained Maggidah—in the ancient Jewish tradition, a teller of stories about the journey of the soul.
