Meet Bailey Support Group Leader!

Hi! I am thrilled to be a member of the Winter Growth team! I

recently graduated from UMBC with Bachelor’s degrees in both

Social Work and Psychology. During the 2021-22 school year I

interned at Winter Growth in Olney, and was then hired as an Activities

associate. I worked in activities until January first of this year, when I

accepted the position of Human Service Specialist, here in Columbia.

Lessons learned during my time at Winter Growth, as well as personal life experiences, have

shaped me into the person I am today. Just like many of you, I am familiar with the hardships

that caregiving can bring. My grandmother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's when I was 12

years old. Growing up, I saw how the disease changed my grandmother and impacted my

family. Caregiving for someone you love can bring about so many different thoughts and

emotions, some of which may be hard to sort through. That's why I wanted to create a group

where we can talk about the challenges of caregiving with people who are going through the

same thing. I'm looking forward to meeting you!
