Mercy Ridge Retirement Community is looking for an Activity Assistant who is caring, creative and enthusiastic to join our Assisted Living activities program. This is a part time position working every other weekend, averaging about 14 hours every two weeks. The Activity Assistant is responsible for assisting in the development, organization, coordination and implementation of activity programs which enrich the lives of residents. The Activity Assistant will assist the Activity Coordinator with the planning and production of the monthly calendar, newsletter, daily postings and publicity for programs. This position also entails assisting with the set up and break down of special functions within the community to include decorating, moving chairs and furniture to accommodate the activity. The Activity Assistant will also work with the Wellness Manager to design and implement the fitness programs in Assisted Living.
