The Loudoun County Area Agency on Aging, a division of the Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Services, is currently seeking qualified applicants for an Adult Day Center Manager at the Leesburg Adult Day Center located in Leesburg. Loudoun County Adult Day Centers help aging adults remain in the community and provide support and respite to their caregivers. As Manager, you will lead a committed, talented team in providing a state-licensed, weekday program, serving clients with memory loss and/or other chronic disabilities.
The successful candidate must possess strong administrative, organizational, customer service, supervisory and communication skills.
Position responsibilities include:
Manage licensed Adult Day Center Program in compliance with Virginia Department of Social Services (DSS) regulations and state and county requirements.
Supervise Adult Day Center staff. Recruit, hire, train, assign and evaluate staff.
Oversee facility maintenance to ensure client safety and customer satisfaction.
Supervise therapeutic activities, food service, medication administration service, transportation, client assessments, care planning and personal assistance to clients and support to caregivers.
Oversee program budget, management plan and procedures consistent with County and State requirements.
Manage licensing files for Adult Day Center staff and participants; submit reports to document compliance with Department and state licensing guidelines.
Monitor required certification and training of Adult Day Center program staff and volunteers; ensure certifications are current.
Coordinate and market special events to promote public awareness of program and services.
Maintain confidential records of clients, assist with the development of policies and procedures and coordinates program evaluations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Gerontology, Social Work, Nursing, or a related field; three (3) years of related work experience managing programs for frail elderly or other physically/mentally disabled population including a minimum of one (1) year of extensive supervisory experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
HIRING RANGE: $55,214.14-$74,539.09
Salary Commensurate with Experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Registered Medication Aide preferred prior to hire
Master’s degree in social work, Nursing Home Administrator license or equivalent preferred.
POST CONDITIONAL OFFER CONTINGENCIES
Valid driver's license is required. The successful candidate will undergo criminal, credit, and DMV background checks.
Negative TB test required no earlier than 30 days before or no later than seven days after hire
Complete 40-hour PCA (Personal Care Assistant) course within 60 days of hire.
First aid/CPR/AED within 60 days of hire.
Medical management certification within 3 months of hire
OSHA (Bloodborne pathogens) within 30 days of hire
Medication Management Certification within 90 days of hire.
