At Home in Alexandria (AHA) seeks a Co-Operations Manager

At present, this is a job-share position requiring 8-15 hours weekly of in-person work on Thursday and Fridays of each week plus alternating Wednesdays. A few additional hours may be needed but can be done remotely. Base hours are 10am-2pm. Enjoy a pleasant, sunny, informal office environment in the Del Ray neighborhood of Alexandria. Free parking is provided.

This position is paid hourly at a rate of $20/hour with FICA withholdings. (No paid leave is included.)

Most important qualifications include:

  • the ability to provide friendly and patient phone, email and in-person interaction with older citizens
  • a sincere appreciation for our seniors
  • strong organizational skills
  • proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, particularly with Excel and Word, and with other computer programs that include two databases and an email automation program.
  • strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail

Specific duties include (but are not limited to):

  • Taking phone and email requests from members and coordinating volunteers to fulfill the requests
  • Overseeing mailings or mail merges for individual member renewals and contributions
  • Overseeing newsletter, calendar and occasional invitation printing processes, interfacing with AHA’s print vendor
  • Processing payments, creating check requests, and creating tracking reports
