Job Summary:

Service Coordination, Inc. (SCI) is seeking a highly motivated and results driven Business Development Manager to generate leads for our new Older Adults Program.  This program is a new private pay initiative that provides superior non-medical home care, geriatric care management and high-tech assistive technology supports for seniors who wish to age at home.  We are seeking a poised professional, preferably with existing connections within Montgomery county, who has the energy and drive to succeed in this dynamic and entrepreneurial environment. 

Essential Duties:

  • Drive leads, referrals and sales revenue by:

    • Developing and implementing creative approaches for identifying and building relationships with key referral sources within the high-end home care and geriatric care management market. 

    • Building relationships with healthcare providers, including physicians, long term care, and independent and assisted living facilities.  

    • Developing partnerships with potential clients’ trusted professional advisors, such as elder law attorneys. 

    • Identifying and participating in appropriate trade shows, conferences, networking events.

    • Planning and delivering community educational programs.

    • Promoting a positive image in the community of SCI’s Older Adults Program.

  • Liaise with outside marketing vendors under contract, including the review, tracking and approval of work produced.

  • In collaboration with the Training Department, develop and conduct sales training to non-sales team members with client facing roles.

  • Conduct ongoing market analysis; analyze trends, data, demographics, pricing strategies, and other information that can improve recruitment; make recommendations accordingly.

  • Complete special projects or perform other duties as needed to meet program goals.

  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed to grow the program.

  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, and a professional demeanor which interacts clearly, and effectively with a wide variety of people including internal and external stakeholders, potential clients, and their families. 

  • Excellent customer service skills, including listening and problem-solving skills keeping the client at the center of proposed solutions. 

  • Professional presence. Natural ability to represent SCI internally and externally in a consistent manner in small and large groups, informal and formal settings. 

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple deadlines and initiatives; strong project management and multi-tasking capabilities; ability to work with autonomy and flexibility.

  • Ability to track and analyze applicable metrics and key performance indicators and apply learning to marketing and enrollment efforts.

  • Excellent computer skills. 

  • Ability to act in a manner that reflects positively on the organization, and to respect the confidential nature of information.

  • Have a reliable automobile to travel to meetings, etc. and a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.


  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field.


  • 3-5 years’ sales experience.

  • Proven ability to develop and implement an effective sales plan.

  • Evidence of achieving referral goals within the market.

  • The ideal candidate will have established healthcare and/or applicable contacts to reach high net worth clients and be able to readily network in the community.
