Mercy Ridge, an upscale retirement community located in Timonium, Maryland is seeking a full time CDL Driver to become a part of our team. Under the supervision of the Resident Services Director, incumbent is responsible for transporting residents in a safe, responsible manner to scheduled appointments and other activities. Assist residents on and off transportation vehicles, including helping with residents’ assistive devices. Monitor and assist residents when away from facility.



  • Drive community vehicles for purpose of transporting residents to appointments and other activities/outings; assist residents on and off of vehicles; helps residents with assistive devices such as wheelchairs, walkers, canes, etc.; keep driver’s license and/or chauffeur’s license updated and remains eligible for licensing in accordance with state/federal regulations, if applicable.

  • Responsible for the maintenance of community vehicles; reports any hazardous conditions, equipment, accidents and/or incidents; maintain necessary travel logs and transportation charges; conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections; report any unsanitary conditions or needed repairs of vehicles to supervisor. Responsible for assisting with scheduling transportation requests/appointments.

  • Assists with activities as time permits and as needed; attends meetings and training as needed.


  1. Ability to read and comprehend memos, reports and a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral and diagrammatic or schedule form.
  2. High School education or GED preferred, but not required.
  3. Must have a valid driver’s/CDL license with a class P endorsement.
