Mercy Ridge, an upscale retirement community located in Timonium, Maryland is seeking a full time CDL Driver to become a part of our team. Under the supervision of the Resident Services Director, incumbent is responsible for transporting residents in a safe, responsible manner to scheduled appointments and other activities. Assist residents on and off transportation vehicles, including helping with residents’ assistive devices. Monitor and assist residents when away from facility.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Drive community vehicles for purpose of transporting residents to appointments and other activities/outings; assist residents on and off of vehicles; helps residents with assistive devices such as wheelchairs, walkers, canes, etc.; keep driver’s license and/or chauffeur’s license updated and remains eligible for licensing in accordance with state/federal regulations, if applicable.
Responsible for the maintenance of community vehicles; reports any hazardous conditions, equipment, accidents and/or incidents; maintain necessary travel logs and transportation charges; conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections; report any unsanitary conditions or needed repairs of vehicles to supervisor. Responsible for assisting with scheduling transportation requests/appointments.
Assists with activities as time permits and as needed; attends meetings and training as needed.
