We are looking for dedicated, self-motivated and experienced leaders to join our state-of-the-art assisted living communities (name to be disclosed during the interview process) around the New Iberia and Baton Rouge area. Our vision is to fundamentally redefine the experience for assisted living and memory care by providing a quality of life that embraces a holistic lifestyle filled with choice.

The Position:

As an Executive Director, you will have the opportunity to lead a team of compassionate assisted living professionals to ensure the community reaches its’ goals and exceeds the expectations of residents and their families. This position is responsible for developing, planning, and implementing innovative programs within the organization, as well as, maintaining the community’s budget and staying up to date on legal requirements. The Executive Director establishes strong relationships with residents and their families to build a living environment focused on trust, respect, safety, and hospitality!

Essential duties also include:

  • Assures that the community operates in compliance with company policy and procedures and State licensing requirements
  • Maintains effective partnership with the Community Relations team to assure maximum operational support of marketing efforts and to facilitate admission and transiting of residents
  • Establishes favorable relationships with residents and families focusing on resident satisfaction and retention; facilitates proper communication and support of changes regarding billing, fees, delinquent accounts, etc; visits residents when residents are hospitalized or receiving rehab
  • Enters resident care plans & assessments and incident reports as required by State regulations and company policy into applicable computerized systems
  • Maintains financial responsibility for the community—processes and deposits income and authorizes payment of bills upon receipt; manages expenses, negotiates improved pricing, etc to achieve financial goals
  • Maintains staffing in accordance with staffing models based on census and prepares team member schedules in accordance with company policy
  • Manages all time and attendance reports, daily labor reports, approaching overtime report, and approvals all payroll reports
  • Assures that all team members are properly trained, both at hire and on an on-going basis, to general company policy and procedures, policies and procedures relating to their specific job duties and to all emergency procedures
  • Assures that the community is maintained in like-new condition, (clean, attractive, and safe) so that the community’s property, team members, and residents are safeguarded, and the general appearance of the building is in keeping with high standards and marketability of the community

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 5+ years’ experience managing assisted living, senior housing, or long-term care environment
  • Experience maintaining budgets and profit/loss statements
  • MUST obtain and maintain licensure per state guidelines
  • Ability to work flexible schedules in a 24-hour operation, including weekends

Desired Skills & Competencies:

  • Proficient in written and verbal English.
  • Must have compassion for and a desire to work with the older adult population. 
  • Ability to successfully work and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Must exhibit and promote a high level of customer service, hospitality, curiosity and friendliness towards all prospects, residents, visitors, employees, and the overall community.
