Chevy Chase At Home (CC@H), a non-profit, volunteer-driven organization is seeking an Executive Director to lead this vibrant and well-established community-based aging-in-place village. CC@H provides a myriad of services including transportation, cultural, educational, social opportunities, and exercise programs to support the Chevy Chase member’s ability to live at home and stay connected with neighbors of all ages. CC@H is governed by a Board of Directors, has an active committee structure and a committed corps of volunteers who deliver services to the members. 

The Executive Director is responsible for the overall functioning of the organization.

The duties for this position include but are not limited to the following:   

Membership and Community Relations

  • Maintaining a strong relationship with the current members and supporting the recruitment of members and volunteers.
  • Serving as the primary contact for CC@H and representing the organization with government entities, community organizations and collaborating with other regional area villages.


  • Adapting and developing new member and volunteer programs as needed.
  • Working with appropriate committees and volunteers, to coordinate social and educational programs.


  • Coordinating and producing email and social media communications.
  • Coordinating the production of the agency’s annual report, membership directory plus annual giving direct mail effort. 

Board and Committees

  • Facilitating the work of the Board by participating in regular meetings of the Board and Executive Committee, attending committee meetings as needed, and providing regular reports to the Board and committees.


  • Supervising the Volunteer and Membership Program Manager who oversees the coordination of volunteer services for members.
  • Managing the work of contractors and/or volunteers working in the office or remotely.


  • Providing administrative support and working with the Officers to ensure that financial statements, annual government filings, insurance, and similar corporation correspondence are submitted and filed on a timely basis. Handling general administrative tasks such as maintaining files and archives of organizational records, making bank deposits, and purchase of office supplies.

Experience and Education

Experience working with a community-based, volunteer-driven organization and an understanding of issues related to aging is preferred.  Educational requirements include a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a related field. This is a 30 hour/week position. Salary is low to mid-$50,000.
