Position:  Human Resources Manager

Reports to:  President

 

Mission Statement: Enhancing the lives of aging adults and their families.

 

Management:

Reflect the core values of TFM Enterprises, Inc. d/b/a Home Instead Senior Care.

Hire, train, and manage HR Assistant and Administrative Assistant.  Write annual performance reviews.

Manage Key Players focusing on operational efficiency and performance related to accountabilities. 

Mentor/coach CGs, when necessary.

Conduct CG disciplinary meetings.

Suggest and implement changes that will drive achievement of recruitment, retention, and engagement goals. Run reports and analyze to assist in this process.

Lead quarterly accountability meetings with each Key Player, focusing on their growth/development.

Manage critical numbers and report monthly to Owner.

Other Key Responsibilities:

Assist with conducting CG interviews.

Meet weekly with HR Assistant to review compliance.

Lead weekly meetings with Client Services department to ensure that CGs are getting their requested hours.

Assist conducting orientation and initial review.

Initiate and follow through with ADA/FMLA process.

Regularly run reports to track disciplinary issues. Follow up as needed.

Resolve any pre-hire/new hire issues.

Determine whether to deactivate/re-activate CG personnel.

Plan/coordinate other CG trainings: CC to PC, Alzheimer’s, 3x/year training (Determine topic, format, dates, presenters, educational material, which HISC staff will attend which session. Conduct pre/post training meetings with staff, review CG surveys, send out staff surveys).

Post ads for admin positions.  Screen and interview applicants.

Approve admin time-off forms; organize back-up plan when key staff out of office.

Secondary Responsibilities:

Respond to existing and potential field personnel inquiry phone calls/emails.

Scan documents to proprietary computer drive.

Update HR forms.

Oversee random drug screening, quarterly.

Oversee OSHA requirements.

Attend weekly team meetings.

Handle On Call Supervisor (back-up only) duties.

Assist with other duties and projects, as needed.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources or related field.

A minimum of seven years’ experience in a Human Resources Management position, with management experience.

Specific knowledge in hiring, performance management, and Human Resources best practices.

Ability to think logically and practically while also considering the company’s specific policies.

Must have strong critical-listening skills, and be able to apply that knowledge toward progressive solutions.
