The Friend’s Club. Located in suburban Bethesda is looking for a detailed-oriented, computer savvy person to tend to a variety of administrative and financial tasks. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, and experience with accounting software, preferably QuickBooks, is a plus. The ideal candidate would have strong initiative, be flexible, and self-motivated. Duties:
Administrative Responsibilities
Formatting and distributing monthly mailings/newsletters
Using IRS guidelines, processing and acknowledging donations
Coordinating fundraiser mailings (2x/yr.)
Managing office filing system
Ordering club supplies and resources
Answering telephone/making calls as requested
Assisting in planning special events
Membership Management:
Maintaining database
Maintaining club membership and related records
Distributing monthly invoices/calendars to caregivers
Preparing visitors packets as needed
Reconciling monthly attendance sheet and collecting unpaid invoices
Financial Responsibilities
Preparing and making the monthly bank deposit
Processing PayPal transactions as needed
Tracking, documenting, and managing financial data
Posting of financial transactions to QuickBooks
Creating and distributing monthly financial reports to FC Exec Director, FC Board, and BHPC Finance Lay Ministry
Processing vouchers and processing disbursements
Reconciling monthly bank statements
Participating in the year end creation and distribution of 1099s
Producing year end reports for inclusion in the BHPC Annual Financial Report
Development, implementation, and management of an annual budget
Assist the Executive Director and the Program Director as needed.
