Cyber-Seniors is an intergenerational program that trains young people to be tech mentors for senior citizens. The ability to use online communication applications to stay connected is vital for older adults and other vulnerable people. In the best of times, digital literacy can be life-altering; in times like these, it can be life-saving.
The successful candidate for the Scheduling Assistant position will be responsible for identifying suitable volunteer mentors by conducting a search in the Cyber-Seniors’ data base and scheduling them to participate in group webinars or for one-on-one tech support. In addition, the Scheduling Assistant will monitor one-on-one tech sessions to ensure quality assurance and be prepared to step in to mentor themselves if required.
Qualifications & Requirements:
35 hours/week
Be able to work remotely
Intermediate computer skills essential
Must have access to personal phone, strong Internet signal and own computer
Must be self-directed, detail-oriented and have strong communication skills
Must speak and write fluent English. French and/or Spanish an asset
