Description: This position has primary responsibility for staffing and scheduling services for SmithLife Homecare. The Staffing Coordinator matches caregivers with clients and coordinates caregiver schedules. This position involves extensive telephone work and interaction with caregivers, clients, and health care professionals. The Staffing Coordinator also responds to inquiries from prospective clients. 

Education: High School Diploma/GED required; CNA in good standing a plus 

Qualifications: Excellent telephone and interpersonal skills. Must be well-organized and have good attention to detail. This position requires at least 5 years of experience in staffing or customer service in a health care setting. Experience in senior service setting preferred. Must be a good problem solver and able to work independently. 

Reports to: Administrator 

Primary Duties: 

1. In conjunction with the agency’s DON, matches appropriate caregivers to cases 

based on personality, availability, and skill set. 2. Makes sure that all cases are covered and arranges for substitute/back-up 

coverage as necessary. 3. Handles/resolves caregiver issues, problems and scheduling changes. 4. Provides information about services to prospective clients. 5. Completes a “prospect sheet” for every caller potentially looking for services. 

Passes forward asap to DOCR. 6. Serves as the point of contact for clients, caregivers, and case managers. 7. In conjunction with the agency’s DON, counsels’ caregivers regarding attendance 

or performance issues. 8. Works closely with HR Director to ensure that hours and pay rates are correct for 

payroll and billing rates are appropriate for invoicing. 12. Participates in on-call rotation as needed. 

Hours: Full time between hours of 10AM to 6PM Thursday to Monday Salary: $43K- $52K depending on experience, experience in ClearCare software a plus 

FLSA Status: Salaried exempt
