Mercy Ridge, an upscale retirement community located in Timonium, Maryland is seeking a full time Technology Coordinator to become a part of our team. Under the supervision of the Resident Services Director, incumbent is primarily responsible for overseeing the Emergency Response System and providing assistance to residents and staff. The Technology Coordinator is also responsible for supporting the community’s audio visual equipment needs as well as support to residents and staff for all other technological needs.




  • Act as a liaison between Inviacom (wifi provider) and residents for issues and concerns.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, setup and breakdown equipment for events.
  • Responsible for posting on social media forums.
  • Maintain in-house programming.
  • Work with Comcast and other technology vendors to ensure quality.
  • Maintain computers and all other equipment in the Resident Business Center.
  • Work as a liaison between staff and Mercy Health IT to complete in-house computer and software repairs.
  • Coordinator of all future technological and operational IT needs including but not limited to digital signage, touch screen technology and portals.
  • Assist residents in basic computer, tablet and electronic questions. Teach classes in relevant technology interests.
  • Oversees the communication system by preparing and programming devices for moves. Teach classes. Upload videos and pictures for the video gallery.
  • Troubleshoot all technology devices and systems.


  • Proficient in computer operating systems and hardware, Microsoft Office products, operating a digital camera, copiers, scanners and fax machines.
  • Proficient with iPads, Kindles, Apple TV, Roku devices, DVD players and projectors.
  • Knowledge of Facebook and other media and social networks – Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, etc.
  • Must possess patience and understanding of the senior population; sense of imagination and creativity.
