This hospitality-focused senior living community will feature 87 assisted living and 30 memory care residences, as well as 29 residences in The Bridge neighborhood that serves residents with mild cognitive impairment. One- and two-bedroom residences will be offered on a monthly rental basis, with assisted living residences featuring modern kitchenettes, upgraded appliances, and tall ceilings. Selected units will include private balconies.

The Memory Care neighborhood, on a secure second floor, features private and semi-private suites and will have several comfortable common areas including four distinct living rooms, an open kitchen with family-style seating, a beauty salon and a large terrace. With its proximity to King Farm Stream Valley Park and the community’s attractive residential neighborhoods, The Seneca of Rockville will feature indoor/outdoor living spaces, including an expansive courtyard for dining and gathering, as well as a landscaped serenity garden with a labyrinth at its center. Select technologies will be woven into the community’s infrastructure to assist with resident wellbeing including security, sleep, exercise and nutrition.

Architecture and design will feature low-pitched hip roofing with minimal overhangs coupled with stone and brick clad exteriors. The buildings materials and color palette blend with the surrounding neighborhoods and natural landscape of Rockville. Windows will add visual interest in horizontal/linear designs punctuated by private balconies. The building is six levels with underground parking.

Backed by a robust suite of services grounded in a concierge model, amenities at The Seneca of Rockville will showcase cuisine, engagement and wellness. Dining venues include a formal dining room with open-hearth oven, a bistro and a private dining room. Amenities include a wellness center that will feature a salon and spa, a fully equipped fitness center, multiple activity venues, club rooms, a community room and original fine art including outdoor sculpture. Engagement programming will be structured by Watermark’s award-winning Watermark University, which encourages residents, associates and family to teach course in what they are passionate about.
