WALTONWOOD ASHBURN ANNOUNCES MANAGEMENT TEAM MEMBERS

Waltonwood Ashburn senior living community is pleased to announce several new additions to its team, including Mark Frazier as marketing manager, John Harder as director of culinary services and Rayando “Rudy” Williamson as environmental service manager. Frazier and Harder are both natives of Northern Virginia. Justin Roberts, executive director of Waltonwood Ashburn, made the announcement. Frazier, Harder and Williamson will play a strategic role in the community, which is currently under construction with plans to open in the last quarter of 2017. This is the first Waltonwood community in Northern Virginia, and it will offer expertly designed luxury independent living, assisted living and memory care for seniors throughout the greater Washington, D.C. metro area. The new team members are excited to help launch the boutique-style senior living community.

“We’re excited to welcome Mark, John and Rudy to the Waltonwood Ashburn family,” said Roberts. “They each possess the passion, talent and experience to help us redefine retirement living and ensure that the residents enjoy an active lifestyle and excellent quality of life.”

With over 7 years of experience in senior living, Frazier has a deep understanding of the senior care industry. In the past, he has held various positions leading the sales and marketing initiatives in retirement communities and senior services companies, becoming well-known in the industry. In these roles, he developed initial startup sales, created marketing strategic plans, and managed all sales and business development operations. Frazier worked in senior home care, independent living, assisted living, memory care, skilled rehab, and long-term nursing and opened start-up communities. He was also the health care, memory care and assisted living marketing manager, overseeing the entire sales process for four levels of care. Frazier has spent time volunteering for organizations such as the Alzheimer’s Association and the Parkinson’s Foundation. His experience in the senior living field provides the perfect foundation for his role at Waltonwood Ashburn.

Harder has more than 12 years of experience supervising and managing culinary operations. He spent his last two years as a chef de cuisine and executive chef in a senior living community, hiring and managing kitchen staff and designing menus on a weekly basis. Before Harder began his career in the senior living field, he worked for 10 years in hospitality in supervisory and management positions. In his roles in the hospitality industry, he oversaw and coordinated daily culinary operations, most notably as executive chef at top steakhouses inside casinos. Learning from experience in such a vibrant and highly demanding field, Harder understands the importance of quality dining. He will use his passion for cuisine to ensure that the team creates delicious and nutritious made-to-order chef-prepared meals in a restaurant-style dining room each day.


“When I started working in senior living two years ago, I knew this is where I wanted to be,” said Harder. “Ever since I was young, cooking has always been a love of mine. I look forward to creating a fine dining experience for the Waltonwood Ashburn residents.”

With 20 years of experience in maintenance services, Williamson is delighted to become the new environmental service manager at Waltonwood Ashburn. After he graduated from United States Army Engineer School, Williamson worked as an assistant director of maintenance services for 10 years, followed by four years as a maintenance technician and finally six years as a maintenance coordinator at a senior living community in Florida. He is knows not only for his work ethic but his infectious smile and kind heart.


“I am excited to be part of a company that’s committed to improving residents’ well-being in every aspect,” said Williamson. “With my extensive background in environmental services and maintenance, I believe I am prepared to provide quality services that will ensure the safety of all residents and team members in our community.”
Waltonwood Ashburn is expected to open this fall. Singh currently owns and operates 10 other Waltonwood Senior Communities in Michigan and North Carolina, and has several other communities in development and under construction in North Carolina and the Washington, D.C. metro area market.
