New Leadership Development Program Launched to Support Career Growth and Prepare for Industry Changes

Argentum is pleased to announce the launch and opening ofnominations for its new leadership development initiative for senior living industry emerging stars: the Leadership Advancement & Development (LEAD) program.

Exclusive to participants nominated directly by upper-level executives among owner/operator Argentum members, the LEAD program takes a future-forward approach to leadership training.

The program will elevate a select group of leaders each year and provide specialized opportunities for training and development to support their career goals.

“As an industry, we’re at risk of falling behind in knowledge transfer and succession planning, and the LEAD program helps to address this,” says James Balda, president and CEO of Argentum. “Future leaders require skills such as emotional intelligence, advanced communication capabilities, and increased flexibility and resilience. For the LEAD program, we’re seeking a diverse representation of skills and backgrounds so our industry can meet current and future challenges head on with strength.”

Nominees for the program will need an expanded set of skills and attributes to lead through the rapid change and increasing choices in senior living. They should possess abilities such as self- motivation, collaboration skills, dedication to mission, and determination to find solutions.

All of the participants will design a unique year-long program tailored to their individual career objectives and the needs of their organization. Exclusive benefits include access to Argentum';s relevant committees and Executive Roundtable networks; membership in the Senior Living Works

Ambassador program; engagement with industry leaders at Argentum's events such as the Public Policy Institute, the Senior Living Executive Conference, and the Senior Living Symposium; and access to a one-day “Disney’s Approach to Leadership Excellence” program delivered by the Disney Institute on Monday, May 18, 2020 during the Senior Living Executive Conference in Tampa, Fla.

Nominees must be employed by an owner/operator member company at the regional or corporate level and must be able to complete all elements of the program. Nominations made by company CEOs, COOs, and senior human resources associates will be accepted.
