Fostering the right solutions & connections

The Baltimore County Provider Council is a membership organization that is committed to building a professional community that improves the lives of older adults.  Our membership is composed of individuals representing for-profit and not-for-profit businesses and government agencies that serve older adults in and around Baltimore County.  We strive to provide opportunities for education, networking, leadership development, partnership building and philanthropy.

Why join?

Educational events are held the 4th Tuesday of the month beginning at 8:45 am from October through April (except for December).  We are currently offering a hybrid model for these meetings.  Members can attend online via Zoom, or choose to come to the meetings in person.  These seminars provide information on current topics relevant to the needs of older adults. Open networking time is available before each educational session.   Social Work CEU's and Certificates of Attendance are available for dues paying members.  

Members Only Luncheons are held in the Fall and Spring and feature outstanding speakers on personal and professional development topics.  Luncheons are tentative, depending on the current government recommendations for social gatherings.  

Networking Happy Hours are held in the Summer and during the Winter Holiday season to have a relaxed atmosphere to meet others and build your referral network.  The Winter Happy Hour also serves as one of our opportunities to support the Philanthropy Committee to donate to those in need. Networking Happy Hours are tentative, depending on the current government recommendations for social gatherings.  

Consider Volunteering - The strength of our organization is directly related to the volunteerism of the board and the members.  Consider being where the action is and having a hand in shaping the Provider Council by joining one of the following committees: Program Planning, Membership, Philanthropy, Special Events, Marketing/Communications and Technology.  Serving on a committee is a great way to hone your leadership skills, meet others working in the field and learn from colleagues.

Board Involvement - Individuals who have completed one year of membership are also eligible to apply for a position on our Board.  Elections for Board vacancies are held each year.  For more information, see our By-laws.
