More About Mennonite Home - A Mennonite Home Community
Much more than a traditional personal care home or nursing home, Mennonite Home is a vibrant extension of our continuing care retirement community, which starts with residential living at Woodcrest Villa. Featuring a skilled nursing facility, memory care facility, dementia and alzheimer's care, personal care, rehabilitation care and short- and long-term care, Mennonite Home offers a continuum of care to provide a full range of senior care services.
Skilled Nursing With 188 beds (featuring private, semi-private and modified private rooms), Mennonite Home is considered one of the best skilled long-term care faciilities in Lancaster County. We offer alzheimer's care as well as support for other types of memory disorders.
Rehabilitative Care Sometimes you or your loved one may need a little bit of extra help following a health event, illness or surgery. Wissler Run is our short-term nursing care household designed to assist people as they transition after such situations. Our in-house physical, occupational and speech therapy team work with residents and families to design a rehab plan based on their long-term goals.
Memory Care/Alzheimer's Support Within both skilled nursing and personal care, we offer supportive services for men and women with memory disorders (dementia and Alzheimer's). Nursing has three secure households with specializing activities designed to help residents engage their minds and bodies to their fullest capabilities. In personal care, we have Landis Run, which is a dedicated memory support household with a secure outdoor courtyard and programs catering to individuals with memory issues.
Once a month, our Social Work team facilitates a support group for friends and family members of individuals with memory disorders.
Personal Care Our personal care residents can enjoy life to the fullest while getting the care and support they need. At Mennonite Home, we offer five levels of personal care in four different households. We also provide nursing care for those who need more support.
With personal care, our team of skilled professionals offers assistance with activities of daily living. These activities could include help administering medications, bathing, dressing, etc. We also feature secure care for residents with dementia in our Landis Run household.
