12:47:05 From Catherine Murray : Hi all, I’m a 61 year old single, professional, female, no kids, no pets. Don’t own a home. Living with a friend temporarily. (Recently moved out of a basement apartment that had mold.) Employed full time. Seeking affordable housing in Montgomery County (ha!) Can’t even afford MoCo MPDU 1 bedroom units. Trying to navigate affordable housing options is a challenge. Thanks for any advice or leads. Contact: calmcatmurray@gmail.com
12:47:53 From Adriana Carr to All panelists : Exactly! Low wages are the root of the problem.
12:48:39 From Gail Hubberman to All panelists : What do people do who cannot afford assisted living and do not have family to offer help. I have had these situations and would like to connect them with an agency for help. Can you suggest nonprofit groups that offer assistance with this?
12:51:21 From Heather Malloy to All panelists : What is the name of the program in Fairfax?
12:52:21 From Jennifer Hammer : We support homewharing on our platform - many people use it while they wait for affordable housing waitlists to open up. There is also a formal homesharing partnership in Montgomery County with HIP - please reach out to me if you'd like more information! Jennifer@silvernest.com

12:56:56 From deb merriner : Very timely presentation as we are trying to place two of our clients (twins) in a community and they are on the younger side. It's a challenge for sure. Thanks for the great info! Deb Merriner, Buckley's for Seniors, 703-390-0535, Premium Companion Care, Concierge, Transportation and Care Management
12:58:28 From Bree Baldwin : One challenge is people do not have a one-stop shop for ALL of this information (like the SHIP office in every state). There are many great programs, good ideas, motivated advocates, but people need to know where to find it all in one place (not only a website, but an old-school 800 number which reaches a more diverse group of inquirers). Bree Baldwin, Aging Life Care Manager with Debra Levy Eldercare Associates-bbaldwin@care-manager.com
12:59:09 From Catherine Murray : Thanks for the shout out Steve and yes, I've looked on SilverNest. Thanks for everyone's input.
13:00:54 From Gail Hubberman to All panelists : Hi Christy, Could I get the list of resources you mentioned for those who are waitlisted. ghubberman@marketprohomes.com. Thanks you!
