12:29:11     From  Patricia L Hanson : Can you repeat the name of the photo organizing expert that you mentioned?

12:30:01     From  mary busse : I need all of this.  What to do with articles, quotes, etc. that I want to refer to someday, and I really do look for them at times.

12:30:18     From  Leslie McTyre : Boomer pathology - I have 4,000 books...

12:30:27     From  Margie Lidoff   to   Hosts and panelists : I agree that it's important to sort junk mail asap.  However, I'm a big recycler and would prefer that to trash

12:30:30     From  Nolu Crockett-Ntonga : Yes, I'm in the habit of not bringing in KRUD. Our apartment building has recycle paper containers in the mail room. I throw junk mail, appeals, flyers, etc right there.

12:30:49     From  Walter Gawlak : If you get time to address a quick Q - I personally have issues with this, though it also aligns with the service I am aiming to create. How do you recommend dealing with the overlap of personal vs. business/bills/etc? If you have a good file system I wonder if you create a second one or have sub folders, etc. I worry  one detracts from the other. Maybe it's just personal preference, but recommendations are warmly welcomed!

12:32:41     From  Antoinette S Russin   to   Hosts and panelists : Shredding how much.

12:35:56     From  Kathy Beck   to   Hosts and panelists : How do you deal with things like articles from grad school which you will probably never reread but have trouble throwing out??

12:37:17     From  zahida hasan : ????

12:37:30     From  zahida hasan : I put them in wall unit areas, like boxes

12:38:47     From  Nolu Crockett-Ntonga : I have downsized to a 1-BR apartment, so how to get started on action items. I've already got rid of hundreds of books, etc, but still overwhelmed by action projects.

12:38:49     From  Pam Edelman : What are your thoughts on Swedish Death Cleaning as it relates to papers?

12:42:01     From  Patricia L Hanson : Are your husband and daughter as organized as you are?

12:42:16     From  Renee Dunham   to   Hosts and panelists : What I also do with memorabilia and family photos is to pick something out of a box and clip it onto a display frame in my bedroom.  It brings it back to life and after a while, I switch it out with something else.  It brings those memories to life.  I then don’t get so  overwhelmed with the big bulk weight of my past.

12:44:14     From  Kathleen Steed   to   Hosts and panelists : Can you send all of your helpful phrases in the followup?  Or list them in the chat?

12:46:20     From  Kathy Beck   to   Hosts and panelists : What is that eraser called again?

12:46:45     From  Carol Clark : Have very difficult time finding shredding events.

12:46:47     From  Steve Gurney - ProAging Community : We remember the year so well, they wanted to update and digitize and make electronic all the medical records for a huge metropolitan hospital in a big urban city. They had to change their plan and date for the change, because they said doctors and other medical staff  were having a difficult time relating to the new digital electronic records and computers, because medical staff felt they could only make good quality medical decisions about a patient's care by holding in their hands the paper with tests and medical notes. Hospital administration staff made the decision to wait for almost an entire generation of medical staff to either retire or pass away because of the need for the mindset and the thinking process to change and adjust because of how life has changed and how quality medical and health care decisions might be affected. Just food for thought. Just a comment you inspired. Thanks for your information and hard work teaching and educating.

12:48:28     From  Shirley Schwarz : please address what to do with hundreds of books specialized in art history???? Please.

12:48:29     From  Nolu Crockett-Ntonga : When will we get to the focus of active and action items.

12:48:33     From  zahida hasan : case study please

12:48:37     From  Carol Clark : Steve I is there, can we create a bulletin board for shredding events?? please.

12:50:31     From  Steve Gurney - ProAging Community : How To Stop Junk Mail https://consumer.ftc.gov/articles/how-stop-junk-mail#:~:text=To opt out permanently: Go,you've started the process.

12:50:52     From  Leslie McTyre : YES Shirley!!

12:52:20     From  Steve Gurney - ProAging Community : Good point, to put in the cloud, is an enormous amount of labor (enormous amount of time and work) and how much payoff? How much return on work and labor? What is the return for all of that effort? Thanks for teaching helpful ways to look at decisions and choices we might be making about organizing paper. Protecting your precious life and protecting your precious time.
