Job Description:
The Regional Sales Manager (the “RSM”) is responsible for the overall sales revenue of the company to include the creation of a high performing sales culture. The RSM will develop plans and strategies to maximize sales and profits through effective recruitment and training programs while providing exceptional customer service. The result being the attainment of corporate financial goals/objectives and growth. The RSM will lead a team of commissioned Designers who obtain company leads and go into the homes of Closet Factory (the “CF”) customers and successfully sell CF products. The RSM will be responsible for hiring, training/coaching, managing performance, etc. In addition this person will manage the Designers through the sales process from the time of the initial lead from the CF, contract negotiations, and closing the sale and will accomplish this through the use and management of company generated lead, service, and closings reports. The RSM will participate on customer calls with the Designers and will also generate leads by calling on builders, interior designers, etc. This position will report directly to the Owners of the CF and will manage a group (20-25) designers.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Building a strong sales team that can deliver period over period sales increases.
  • Interview, hire and train new sales personnel.
  • Constantly monitor sales personnel for periodic performance evaluations and termination if necessary.
  • Responsible for the smooth integration of sales promotion ideas via our current advertising mediums.
  • Responsible for sourcing new advertising opportunities that increase lead generation.
  • Responsible for organizing and running bi-weekly sales meetings
  • Ensures positive communications are maintained between the sales organization and manufacturing, installation/office management.
  • Develops an annual sales budget, advertising allocation by revenue and designer sales commission plan to meet corporate profit plan.
  • Ensures adherence to all company sales policies and procedures.
  • Ensures that each designer sales representative meets company’s requirements for percent to standard on each sale.
  • Ensure that workforce planning is in effect for proper number of designers to tactically cover the lead generation driven by the company.
  • Works closely with the management team to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Develops geographic sales strategies for the future growth of the company.
  • Formulates marketing strategies with workforce planning to attack ASID, NAHB and NAPO members.
  • Review leads with service coordinator.
Job Requirements:
  • Will typically be located in the main office or secondary showroom
  • Travel with Designers or individually to prospects and customer locations within the geographic footprint of the CF which ranges as far north as Baltimore, MD, Fredericksburg, VA to the south, Southern Maryland to the east and Winchester, VA to the west
  • Minimal other travel may be required
  • Must be 18 years old Must pass a background check
  • Minimum of a two year college degree Minimum of five years of sales experience in home improvement or three years of sales management
  • Will be required to work some evenings and weekends
  • Strong communication and computer skills a must
