Position Summary:
The Director of Friends Circle is responsible for the overall direction and operation of the Friends Circle Residential Services Agency to include the supervision of staff, administration of the programs, compliance with all regulations, communication with physicians, clients, family members and internal customers, financial oversight and stewardship, and direct contact with the resident, as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:
Position requires 2 -3 years supervisory experience in a health care setting, preferably in a residential services agency or a home health agency. Position must be able to frequently interact with and provide excellent customer service to all levels of staff, residents, family members, and partners within the community at large. Position requires evening and weekend work, as needed.

Educational Requirements:
Bachelors’ degree in a health or business related field. Maryland Registered Nurse license is preferred by not required.

Essential Functions:
  • Direct the day-to-day operations of the Friends Circle RSA program to include:
  1. Supervision of staff (RN’s, LPN’s, CMA’s & GNA’s)
  2. Procurement and inventory of supplies and equipment
  3. Scheduling of staff
  4. Hiring, counseling, performance management and termination of staff
  5. Orienting and on-boarding of new staff and creating growth opportunities for all RSA staff.
  • Supervise monthly review of plan of services, resident progress, and assess need for continued services
  • Insure documentation of resident’s assessment, plan of services, and other information is completed and accurate. Participate in determination of resident’s need for termination of services and assist in referral of additional services, alternate placement within Broadmead.
  • Respond to resident and family concerns and complaints
  • Oversee scheduling of residential services to residents
  • Ensure submission of accurate billing information
  • Develop quarterly report for the Friends Circle Quality Assurance Committee
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
  • Knowledge of applicable sections of the Health Occupations Article, Annotated Code of Maryland 10.07.05,
  • Residential Service Agencies
  • Knowledge of maintenance of charges, records, and health benefits plan
  • Ability to manage and support departmental and FTE budgets
  • Ability to maintain flexible hours; cover shortages in staff when necessary
  • Skillful in the use of technology to accomplish goals and ensure program growth
  • Skillful in the maintenance of clinical records
  • Knowledgeable of Infection Control procedures
