The annual Gala is Capital Caring Health’s signature fundraising event convening hundreds of community, business, and healthcare champions from across the region. Returning as an in-person event, the 2023 Gala will be held on April 27 at the new Waldorf Astoria Washington DC and will include a cocktail reception, delicious dinner, hosted bar, awards program, online auction, and designer purse drawing. 

During the event, Capital Caring Health will honor Mr. Anthony Welters, Founder, Chairman and CEO of CINQ Care Inc. and Member of the Board of Directors for The Carlyle Group Inc., and Rev. Dr. Tyrone Pitts, General Secretary Emeritus for the Progressive National Baptist Convention, Inc., for their work to improve access to healthcare in underserved communities. Capital Caring Health will also celebrate the start of its 46th year of caring for the community and launch the Countdown to 50 campaign.

Proceeds from the Gala will support Capital Caring Health’s Center for Health Equity and programs to provide advanced illness care in underserved communities. As the region’s longest operating nonprofit provider of hospice and advanced illness care, Capital Caring Health is a critical safety net organization that provides more than $3 million in charitable care and grief support annually.
