Improving Clinical Outcomes by Mastering Intergenerational Fluency presented by Stephanie Goldstein BSW, LBSW. The way we communicate is influenced by the generation we most affiliate with. Most health and mental health providers communicate the way they like to be communicated with, rather than taking into consideration how a message is best received by someone of a different age. This interactive program will cover generational differences, particularly as they relate to communication and information processing. Misunderstandings, how to avoid them and how to correct them with patients, clients, caregivers and colleagues of different generations will be covered. Participants will leave the session better understanding how to effectively communicate with persons of other age groups in the health and mental health setting so clinical outcomes are improved.
