As the nation grappled with how to contain the spread of the novel coronavirus, Compassion & Choices saw the vital need to address how people with other serious or terminal illnesses can still receive care without potential exposure to the coronavirus at healthcare facilities. Telehealth was the obvious solution and has been gaining traction at a rapid rate as a solution to replace brick-and-mortar medicine and allow for care in the safety of one's home. Partnering with national leaders in the field of telehealth and building on our strong relationships with state-level decision makers, Compassion & Choices has worked to secure important changes in the way that patients access care.
