The Kensington Reston is proudly partnering with Insight Memory Care Center to host RECONNECTIONS, an engagement program of activities, recreation, peer support and socialization for individuals showing early signs of memory loss.

The Kensington is an assisted living and memory care community, led by a talented team with an unwavering commitment to excellence in service and care. Insight Memory Care Center is a nonprofit adult day health and resource center, dedicated to serving families living with dementia. Together, they will lead RECONNECTIONS at The Kensington, an 8-week, on-site day club. Experienced memory care professionals lead small-group activities that enable participants to:

•Maintain their current level of cognitive ability,

•Express themselves through creative endeavors,

•Develop a sense of purpose and belonging,

•Enhance intellectual, emotional, and physical well-being by moving the body,

•Improve connection with themselves through reflection,

•Engage with peers safely and with support, and

•Learn, adjust and reinforce knowledge and skills with non-judgmental assistance.
