Demand for Elder Law on the Rise

The Bulletin reports the Oregon State Bar has reporting a rapid trend in requests and referrals related to Elder Law and Estate Planning.  According to the article 

"The state bar made 498 referrals in fiscal year 2013-14 to lawyers specializing in conservatorship and guardianship, said Kateri Walsh, state bar director of media relations. That number rose steadily, from 533 the following fiscal year to 716 in fiscal year 2015-16. Referrals to attorneys on questions about wills and trusts likewise increased, from 2,562 in 2013-14 to 2,901 the following year and 3,309 in 2015-16."
