Questions Asked

  • What if you live are far away?
  • Do you deal with "applications"--like how to adapt a smart phone (or iPad or computer or Alexa/Siri) , as opposed to "devices", to better serve individuals?
  • Does Montgomery County provide any of your services?
  • [Looking more at cognitive disabilities]
  • We have developed an utterance translator for those living with Alzheimer's and other forms of Dementia. Would our be considered Assistive Tech?
  • "Can you speak to the Equity component to the program. Is financing easily accessible to lower income and underserved individuals. Thank you for all you do. Hugh Reese, CEO DwellAssured"
  • Voice mapping and typing with your eyes for stroke disability and other communication challenges. Stephen Hawkings who lived for many years with AlS Lou Gherig Disease we learned that he and his family used voice mapping and typing with your eyes. Are you familiar with these concerns. Do you provide supporting guidance for finding resources for help with this software or technology. Thank you
  • Let’s say yea m an older person with low vision and hearing loss. What kind of ATS would you recommend?  Another scenario would be ATS for someone with cognitive decline. What is helpful?
  • Utterance translator ? can you explain what this is and how this works? Sounds interesting and helpful since communication is so important.
  • Are the eye gaze systems personalized to the individual? Like if you had eye gaze to open a door could anybody just open it
  • So, for someone in Montgomery County, where would they go to have a consultation to find out what assistive technology might work best (for cognitive/organizational issues, vs. straight DME-type devices)?
  • Do you have a newsletter or some other type of communication for us to keep up to date with new technologies?
  • can  dc residents use your  program
  • So important and so needed thank you Jose is there a website or phone or email is this utterance translator available now?   Jose Ramos : Jose.Ramos@Kin-Keepers.com
