Becoming a Fearless Caregiver

In this webinar, you will learn how to be an equal member of the caregiving team, how to best get help from the health care system and, importantly, how to care for yourself. There will be plenty of time for questions and the sharing of ideas. Today’s Caregiver magazine editor Gary Barg is the main speaker. The magazine began in 1995. Gary also convenes Fearless Caregiver Conferences all over the country (and the world) in which people get answers from experts in caregiving and from each other. The conferences began in 1998. His website Caregiver.com provides an online home for caregivers where you can find topic specific channels, tips sections, discussion lists, and sign up for email newsletters. It also contains profiles of many "fearless caregivers."

• Do you address caregivers who are their own caregiver
• So is this "PPL" organization providing caregivers information for all states, nationwide?

• My situation - I am willing to and perhaps already a full time caregiver since 5 years for my ailing father in last 70' s (Alzm + Stroke ++) and now mother as well had a surgery. I am fullfilling this responsibilities but somtime to professional ends gets compromised. How to strike a balance - come and learn from the masters here? Correct me if I am wrong

• How to handle the problem of male/female inequality with banks, credit cards, accounts etc. Even with both names on accounts they will only recognixe the male.

• I've been a CNA for 15 years and an upcoming caregiver to my aging parents in their 70s. I also work for a Nurse Registry as well, do you think I can attend the conference? Would it be benefitial for information for my personal life and also my job.That's correct! I told someone on the phone company that my husband had dementia. They still wanted him to give me permissions to talk to them.
