Author of Connecting Caregivers and Good Night and God Bless: Celebrating love, laughter, and the lessons of loss
Good night and God Bless, thank you for sharing, and abundant thanks and gratitude to your Mother And your Family for taking your ordered steps for your caregiver caregiving life JOURNEY
Can you talk about Caregivers who have jobs and work interrupted because of caregiving duties. Now many baby older baby boomer caregivers have not been able to save money to prepare for retirement years. Some caregivers went back to work and were diagnosed with stage four colon cancer and other medical conditions, lost their health insurance and could not get low income health insurance coverage. What kind of support or resources can you suggest or should caregivers search to find.
How do you help someone who has been diagnosed with MCI who is in denial and refuse to have any conversation?
"""Who takes care of the caregiver?"" Remember the story about the oldest person in the world who was 116 years of age. She lived in New York. The caregiver family member was age 70 or 80 taking care of someone 116 years of age. They both needed someone to care for them. Can you imagine?"
Cheaper than antidepressant...good viewpoint...art work creativity and joy inspiration

12:38:53 From Sharon Sirkis : thank you so much, so helpful
12:38:53 From Carla Andersen : terrific conversation and content. I've been caregiving for more than 40 years, including round-the-clock care for spinal cord and brain injured spouse while raising a preschooler. Those experiences made attending the" dearly departing" more manageable, but helping those with dementia is rarely easy as my beloved mother-in-law is teaching me. Thank you so much Linda for your wisdom and ability to share it so eloquently. Learning how to care for others must evolve to help all humans live out their lives with dignity and comfort.
