15:07:50     From  Rena Tobey : Hi everyone! Glad to be together! Unfortunately I have to leave early…

15:12:04     From  Molly Price : Hi @Kitty Russell I work in senior living! My suggestion is when you start to feel overwhelmed with things that previously seemed simple, it may be time to think about downsizing. Also, if you are living alone, a community will keep you active and engaged :)

15:13:20     From  Veda Vazquez : Good day everyone, from Coatesville, Pa-this is Veda

15:13:29     From  Steve Gurney - ProAging Community : Let’s Talk About Your DREAM HOME and COMMUNITY FOR AGING https://www.retirementlivingsourcebook.com/events/let%E2%80%99s-talk-about-your-dream-home-and-community-for-aging

15:13:50     From  Jill Kamenetz : I get lots of questions like Linda.  I am a social worker and I don't necessarily know if eithically it would be appropriate to be an executor/poa, etc.

15:14:28     From  Nancy Ruffner   to   Steve Gurney - ProAging Community(Direct Message) : Have to leave early, darn it! I am chairing our "Pros Working With Solos" group (the authors, the speakers, you know them ) . Looking forward to the recording!

15:14:39     From  Teresa Tam (she/her) : Professional Patient Health Advocates may also be willing to act as HC POA. Definitely not all.

15:18:11     From  Patricia C : How do you find an attorney who would do these things?

15:18:17     From  Steve Gurney - ProAging Community : Aging Life Care™, also known as geriatric care management, is a holistic, client-centered approach to caring for older adults or others facing ongoing health challenges. Working with families, the expertise of Aging Life Care Professionals provides the answers at a time of uncertainty. https://www.aginglifecare.org/

15:19:23     From  Rena Tobey : My end-of-life doula is serving as my healthcare proxy

15:19:41     From  Rena Tobey : If anyone is in New York, I’m happy to refer my attorney. Contact me at renatobey@gmail.com

15:20:27     From  Steve Gurney - ProAging Community : End-of-life doulas provide companionship, comfort, and guidance to those facing a terminal illness or death. Our non-medical holistic support encompasses emotional, spiritual, and practical care. https://inelda.org/

15:21:21     From  Steve Gurney - ProAging Community : National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys https://www.naela.org/

15:25:36     From  Sharon Sirkis : What is dailey money manager? link?

15:26:21     From  Joan Zaffarano : How feasible is it to rely on hospice care at home if you are living alone?

15:27:17     From  Linda Diner : American Assoc. of Daily Money Mangers

15:28:34     From  Sharon Sirkis : Thanks!

15:29:32     From  Teresa Tam (she/her) : Villages are a great way to be able to age in place longer, or for good: https://www.vtvnetwork.org/

15:29:50     From  Becky : In respose re Hospice it depends on the Hospice,  Not all Hospices are equal.  It is a growing business.  I'd suggest  you contact several Hospices & ask your questions to all of them.

15:31:19     From  Elva Roy, Arlington TX : elvaroy@gmail.com or www.ambassadorsforagingwell.org

15:32:07     From  Nancy Ruffner : Be aware that hospice care in delivery (at home) is not 24/7. Most folks must augment with other care, through home are agencies and others. So there is that risk. Study the services: hospice, palliative care, home care v. home health. then your questions will come up and you can gain clarity as you decide and plan.

15:32:11     From  Jacqueline Rams : yes

15:34:24     From  Joe Sperling-Protectionist-Feel Good : Check out VA -Aid & Attendance benefits sfor Veterans

15:34:32     From  Jacqueline Rams : yes to rich maryuat.  where do you ago?

15:35:15     From  Sharon Sirkis : Asking for help is difficult when you are so used to doing things yourself. What I've learned is that people feel good and of service when they help you/us. Sometimes it's our ability to receive, i.e. we may not feel worthy or it's difficulet to receive. Receiving makes us more vulnerable as opposed to in control when we are the givers. Hope this helps.

15:36:24     From  Linda Diner : does anyone have information Friends Life Care - Quaker organiztion

15:37:01     From  Kitty Russell : Also, if people don't know what you are going through (what your challenges are) they won't know you need the services that may be available to you.

Start with a short, non identifying note on Nextdoor, a neighborhood website or other small community where there aren’t tons of people and see what opens up. And practice, practice that you will get in the habit and it will soon become Easier for you to do.
